Running Shoe Sizing
The most
important consideration when getting a shoe is sizing. A shoe that does not fit
well can cause discomfort, injury and pain.
The most accurate way to measure your shoe is with a simple foot measuring device (link) or a 'Brannock Device'(link)
If you do not have a device to measure your foot with, an alternative measurement method can be used.
Golden
Rule: A thumb’s spacing between the end of your longest toe and the front of
the shoe.
Asians generally
have wider fitting feet. Some shoe companies offer different widths to accommodate
to their foot shape. Men also tend to have wider feet than Women. The table
below illustrates the width options to look out for depending on your foot width.
