Exclusive Colourway Launch- SCSM X Puma Edition

Puma Singapore held 4 running activations on November 13th, 19th, 27th, and 30th to mark the public launch of the newly released Puma Deviate Nitro 2. These events included a 5-kilometer race where participants may try on a pair of Deviate Nitro 2 running shoe. A run village offered snacks, sports massages, as well as an exclusive sneak peek at the new SCSM colorways of the Fast-R Nitro Elite and Deviate Nitro Elite 2 post-run.

Puma Deviate Nitro 2 ($309 SGD)

Refined from Puma's initial foray into the carbon-plated scene comes the Deviate Nitro Elite 2. Fueled by American long-distance runner Molly Seidel's bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics, the first Deviate Nitro was a huge success in revitalizing Puma's prominence in the running world. It features Puma's 'Nitro Elite' foam, a full-length carbon composite plate, and a grippy 'PumaGrip' outsole.

The upper, ankle collar, midsole design, and outsole geometry have all been reworked in the Deviate Nitro's second generation. Full details will be covered in my upcoming review.

Puma Fast-R Nitro Elite ($399 SGD)

The Fast-R Nitro Elite is Puma's flagship marathon racer. The Fast-R, Puma's answer to the Nike Alphafly Next%, is about S$70 more expensive than the Deviate Nitro Elite 2. The more aggressive design is geared towards faster runners.

It features a decoupled forefoot made of Puma's top of the line 'Nitro Elite' foam, and a firmer feeling foam in the heel. Connected by a carbon composite plate, the dual-density midsole construction is designed to facilitate a quicker foot turnover for a more propulsive feel. The Fast-R also utilizes 'PumaGrip' for its outsole.
